Relationship or Couples Counselling
Christine acknowledges the uniqueness of every relationship, and respects the couple’s autonomy, culture and difference. Christine’s approach to working with couples is based on a commitment to helping them explore the issues causing their difficulties and understanding one another’s perspectives. Christine aims to foster the development of empathy within the relationship and to enable the couple to decide if any action may be required.
In her work as a couple’s therapist, Christine has helped many different types of adult relationships.
Christine is currently working towards the Advanced Certificate in the Study of the Couple Relationship from the Tavistock Institute (the world’s leading organisation for training in couple psychoanalytic psychotherapy) and her work with couples is supervised via the Tavistock Institute. She is also trained in the Relate model of relationship counselling.
